Just used Part of the Family Kennels from August 15th and just picked up both of our babies this morning! This is only the 3rd time I've ever been away from my fur-babies in 11 years. In the past at other kennels/boarding facilities, our two boys didn't want anything to do with me or my husband after I picked them up. I just thought that maybe they didn't like being away from us. After picking them up today, I guess I was completely wrong. After picking them up, as we were walking out of the office, they actually acted like they wanted back inside LOL. Then after I got them into my vehicle, they both were whining. This has never happened before! Now that we are back home, they are completely worn out and have been sleeping and haven't left my side. I'm just so surprised they aren't mad at me for leaving them! Now after knowing all of this and how they acted, from now on, I will always take them to Part of the Family Kennels! Maybe now my husband and I can actually travel places knowing that our babies will be well taken care of! I was so afraid of leaving my babies because my oldest is an 11 year old Yorkie and is on a lot of medicine and is in congestive heart failure and my other is a 9 year old chihuahua mix was adopted when he was 3 and he doesn't really like many people. Thank you so much for taking care of my fur-babies and for dealing with me when I kept calling to check on them. Y'all did such an amazing job and I'll definitely be recommending y'all to family and friends and will definitely be using y'all from now on!!!
Part of the Family has an experienced, caring and loving staff that has met my every need. Although there are several grooming services in my area, and roundtrip from Sun City Center is over 50 miles, I prefer Part of the Family where my expectations of service are met. Overall, Part of the Family meets my expectations for quality grooming and caring boarding services. The staff is professional, dedicated, and personable. I recommend your facility all the time and will continue to do so.
Have been coming there since 1979. Often recommend you - always say you're well worth the peace of mind!
It is the best place to take pets! We feel like its Bella's "home away from home". We recommend you every chance we get. We tell them about the special attention Bella gets each day. We also get compliments on Bella's grooming, and we tell people where we have it done. We are so grateful to have Part of the Family for our Bella.
The facility is always very, very clean. Most important, my dog likes it there. I am very happy that we found you guys. Thank you for taking care of our Sanka when we are away.
Just wanted to let you know how blessed we have been to have you guys care for Brenna & Reese over the past few years. It saddens us to move out of the area and we will certainly miss you all. We appreciate your advice over the years and your patience with our "girls". Please express our gratitude to your staff as well. Praying blessings over your family & your business.
While we've never boarded a dog, we have confidentially left our exotic bird in the care of Part of the Family. 'Downy' never has an unkind word to say about her stay and we know she is nicely being taken care of. Thank you!
Originally-because you are close to home. Secondly-clean facility, staff very friendly, accommodating, great service. Boarding-great! Nice clean fluffy, good smelling-friendly, bathed dog. We really appreciate that. We do feel that you treat our dog like a part of your family. Perfectly named facility.
I have been coming to this kennel for 27 years and would not go anywhere else. My chihuahua loves Terry and doesn't mind staying. I never worry because they are very caring and knowledgeable and I know he gets good care because he likes to go there. He thinks he is part of their family!!!
The owners, Terry and Debbie Vaught, live on site so you can rest easy knowing they are protected around the clock. They have been raising dogs for over 30 years and also bred champion show dogs for many years. In addition, Debbie was a pet groomer and was in the medical field for over 25 years and is very experienced with any health issues that might arise. Terry has managed a variety of different businesses at the store level as well as at the executive level and was the owner of another company before acquiring POTF in 2004. He has had dogs all his life and is always pursuing dog-related education. He is very knowledgable about dog behavior. Together they have an exceptionally broad based knowledge of dog related medical and behavioral issues.
